The fight in the lift between Peter Franks and Bond was reduced to remove blows and sound effects.
Bond squirting the fire extinguisher into Frank's face was reduced in length.
Bond menacing Mr Kidd with a broken brandy
bottle was trimmed. It's so brief in the film, one wonders what was cut, but my guess is that the actual grabbing and breaking of the bottle was cut, leaving just the footage of Bond throwing the liquid onto Kidd's arms. Perhaps what little focus there
is on the weapon was deemed a more serious imitability issue back then.
Footage of the ablaze Mr Kidd running across the deck screaming and climbing up onto the railing, as he throws himself overboard was removed, leaving just the shot of him
hitting the water. When shown on TV, this scene is usually cut similarly.

Many thanks to Gav Salkeld who compiled a detailed list of of cuts:
The BBFC gave the film a '15' rating for the cinema release after applying almost 15 seconds of cuts. These cuts apply to the DVD version only; VHS
and cinema cuts are slightly different. Its worth noting that the DVD version has had some footage slyly reinstated without the BBFC's knowledge, so in theory it is an 18. This trend is seemingly becoming more frequent as the years go on, and why this is
I don't know. Another point is that the subtitles on the DVD are uncut 95% of the time, as they are based on the uncut print! Also, if you listen carefully under the commentary, all of the uncut dialogue can be heard too!
The BBFC did not
implement all of the cuts, however. The distributors were simply told to reduce the volume of the film's bad language by removing the more aggressive strong- and very strong language, and that which could not be justified by context. The distributors
were not told what individual words to remove.
It is
worth noting that the cut mute woman knife attack sequence is shown in full on the 2nd disk of the region 2 special edition, yet cut significantly in the disk 1 film!
If you are considering buying it, may I recommend the
Aussie region 4 2007 release, it might not be the 2 disk, but its a PAL format, digitally re-mastered sound and visual, and uncut. stay away from the region 1, I implore you, which has problems.

Well once again its happened, the BBFC's former decision makers have made their successors look dumb. Tonight in a 9 PM slot Die Hard with a Vengeance was shown uncut on UK Gold! You'd have expected channel 4

All swearing was intact and dub free (the guys a flunky!), and the poorly edited lift sequence shown in all its brain
splattering glory. Making the Region 2 Buena Vista 2 disk special edition look a lot less special.
From IMDb:
The original release of the UK DVD version in 1999 was actually even more cut than the
British video and cinema versions. This was apparently because a TV or airline version was erroneously used to master the DVD. Ironically, because the content does not exactly match the officially classified version, this much-sanitized release was
effectively illegal to sell, and was withdrawn. The replacement, to be issued in mid-2000, will be the same as the less-censored UK video and cinema version.

The BBFC commented on their 15 Rating as follows:
DIE HARD 4.0 is an action thriller about the subverting of computer networks throughout the USA in order to spread destruction and mayhem as a mask for the largest
money theft ever. The film was passed '15' for frequent action violence and one use of strong language.
The BBFC's Guidelines at '12A' state that 'violence must not dwell on detail' and that 'there should be no emphasis on injuries or blood'.
Throughout the film there are several moments where the violence does focus on injury and it was these moments, in combination with the sheer relentlessness of the film's frequent action violence, which placed DIE HARD 4.0 more appropriately at '15'. The
film also contains one use of strong language ('motherfucker'), which was clear even with the end of the word obscured by the sound of gunshots. BBFC policy regarding language at 12A states that 'mouthed and bleeped uses of 'motherfucker' are allowed'
and that 'mouthed language will usually be identifiable but inaudible'. With the term clearly audible in this case, the '15' certificate was required.
DIE HARD 4.0 also features some mild verbal sex references and a brief scene in which ads for
websites offering sexual services are displayed on a computer screen.

Re a scene of sexual violence from 1973 exploitation film THE DIRTY DOLLS. In the clip, a kidnapped woman is sexually assaulted by two other women, with sexualised nudity and a focus on the attackers' pleasure.
BBFC Classification Guidelines state that intervention may be required at the adult category where material presents a credible harm risk to individuals or, through their behaviour, to society. This may include portrayals of rape or
other non-consensual sexually violent behaviour which make the violence look appealing; reinforce the suggestion that victims enjoy rape or other non-consensual sexually violent behaviour; or which invite viewer complicity in rape, other non-consensual
sexually violent behaviour or other harmful violent activities.
The Board considered whether the THE DIRTY DOLLS was in breach of the guidelines, and ultimately concluded that the film's depiction of sexual violence was so lacking
in believability and credibility that it did not represent a genuine harm risk requiring compulsory cuts to the film. Accordingly, in line with the BBFC's guiding principle that adults should be able to choose their own entertainment provided the content
is not illegal or harmful, the Board agreed that THE DIRTY DOLLS could be classified 18 uncut.

harm.
Cut in 2004 with the following BBFC statement: Cuts required to nudity in public. Although there are no constraints on nudity at '18', the BBFC will not classify material which is the result
of the commission of a criminal offence in the UK. This policy takes into account the new offence of 'exposure' under the Sexual Offences Act 2003, which came into force in 2004. The BBFC already had an established policy on public nudity in line with
the broader common law misdemeanour of 'indecent exposure'.
The BBFC informally cut the 2006 cinema release and 2007 Pathe DVD : This film was originally shown to

infringement of the Cinematograph Films (Animals) Act 1937. When the finished version was submitted, this sequence had been deleted and the film was passed '18' without further cuts.

Summary
Review: Best non-Leone spaghetti Western
Don't listen to any claims made made for Bullet For A General, Django is without a doubt the best non-Leone spaghetti Western of all time. Corbucci's direction is more
controlled here than anywhere else--less zooms, less jarring close-ups, and neater editing. And Django has to be one of the first action heroes to fire a heavy machine gun from the hip (without even pulling the trigger, no less!).
But make no mistake. This is Italian exploitation--love it or hate it. An ear is cut off, prostitutes fight in the mud, and our hero's hands are crushed in gory detail that would make One-Eyed Jacks mumble in disgust.

Summary Review: Sadistic
Mexican outlaw Django is part of a band of thieves that steal a cargo of gold from a stagecoach. However, the
Americans in the band betray him, and shoot all the Mexicans. Django is not completely dead though, and crawls his way out of his shallow grave, continuing his pursuit of the gold, and exacting a bloody vengeance.
A strange film,
with a lot of sadistic violence and some homo-eroticism. Tomas Milian, plays a anti-hero character with some similarities to Christ, and turns in one of his better performances.
