The Face of Fu Manchu is a 1965 UK / West Germany action crime thriller by Don Sharp. Starring Christopher Lee, Nigel Green and Joachim Fuchsberger.
BBFC category cuts were required for a U rated film release in 1965. Maybe it was the same cut version that has been PG rated for home video. There is also a short German Version.
Summary Notes
Grisly strangulations in London alert Nayland Smith of Scotland Yard to the possibility of the fiendish Fu Manchu may not be dead after all, even though Smith witnessed his execution. A killer spray made from Tibetan
berries seems to be involved and clues keep leading back to the Thames.

Archer (John Travolta) asks his daughter whether she has protection and demonstrates a butterfly knife by whirling it around. This demonstration does not pass the censor as the butterfly knife is on their list of no-no's. One moment the blade is
fully extended, and the next it is closed seemingly with no noise or movement. Also the cut causes a rather obvious sudden jump in the music track.
The girl eventually gets to use the butterfly knife by stabbing Archer, but we don't get to see
the knife when it is opened in butterfly format.

Faces of Death is a 1981 US documentary video by Conan Le Cilaire. With Michael Carr, Samuel Berkowitz and Mary Ellen Brighton.
A heavily cut version was banned as a vide nasty in 1982. It was passed 18

Summary Review : Quite a reputation
Mixed bag of death scenes,
badly acted surgical and autopsy scenes, monkey brain eating, phony video footage of death by alligator and bear, political assassinations etc.
Faces of Death has quite a reputation. Needless to say, there's no way the film will
live up to its own hype. The narration is predictable, all the scenes involving human death are faked, and the final twenty minutes are basically newsreel footage, which we've all seen elsewhere. The film runs around 105 minutes, which is way too long
for something of this nature.
However, the film is now a cultural icon and it's most definitely worth seeing, provided you're a fan of horror movies, exploitation films, or bizarre fringe relics.
The only real death you see is in the beginning where we see all sorts of animals slaughtered. It's not as bad as it sounds though. The animals weren't killed for the film, but rather as part of the routine slaughtering that happens
everyday.

Compulsory cuts required to sight of fighting dogs and monkey being cruelly beaten to death.
The BBFC have also clarified exactly which part of the monkey eating
scene has been cut.
The part of the scene that shows the brains being eaten (out of an obviously fake rubber head) has NOT been cut. What we HAVE cut is the material leading up to that in which a clearly real
and clearly terrified monkey ("goaded to fear and fury" as the Animals Act puts it) is brought to the table in a special 'monkey eating' contraption and is then bashed on the head. It seems entirely possible that the head bashing was done with
rubber hammers and the monkey came to no harm. However, the monkey was clearly - at least in the short term - restricted in a cage/head clamp and terrified and this is prohibited by law.

in a video used in a court case involving a sex crime, including forcible stripping, knife threat and preparation for rape. The pseudo-documentary context was not considered a mitigating factor.
The BBFC cut was to remove footage during a trial scene where a rapist (played by director John Alan Schwartz) films himself as he prepares to attack a woman.

For instance, additional footage depicts Colt envisioning a crash just before he performs the car roll stunt. His conversion with Gail Meyer (Hannah Waddingham) early in the film spans longer in the extended cut.
The scene involving Colt and
Tom Ryder's (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) girlfriend Iggy (Teresa Palmer) is longer as well.
Arguably the most important difference between the two versions is that the extended cut has a chase scene involving Colt and a drug dealer. While seeing
unicorns under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs, Colt follows the drug dealer across a train and a warehouse. A fun sequence bound to keep the viewers hooked, its absence doesn't necessarily impact the theatrical version.
While he is still
under the influence of the drugs, Colt speaks to Jody in the lobby until Gail intervenes.
After Colt discovers a body covered in ice in Tom's hotel room, he calls Gail. This interaction is longer in the extended version, as is the exchange
between Colt and Alma (Stephanie Hsu) after he grabs the dog.
There is also additional footage of Tom and Jody on the set of Metalstorm, with the former botching a monologue.
The scene in which Colt learns the truth from Tom has also
been extended. In addition, the extended cut spends more time setting up the climax. The final stunt is also longer and more elaborate. It also features more dialogue between Tom and Colt.

The Fall of the House of Usher is a 1960 US horror by Roger Corman. With Vincent Price, Mark Damon and Myrna Fahey.
Cut by the BBFC for cinema release. Uncut and 15 rated for VHS, 12 rated

Summary Review: Horror Classic
Philip arrives at the Usher mansion seeking his loved one, Madeline. Upon arriving, however, he discovers that Madeline and her brother Roderick Usher have been
afflicted with a mysterious malady: Roderick's senses have become painfully acute, while Madeline has become catatonic. Roderick tells his guest of an old Usher family curse: any time there has been more than one Usher child, all of the siblings have
gone insane and died horrible deaths. As the days wear on, the effects of the curse reach their terrifying climax.
Intelligent, subtle and effective, with good sets and costumes and excellent work from script writer Richard
Matheson, composer Les Baxter, cameraman Floyd Crosby and art director Daniel Haller. All united by Corman's smart, stylish, fluent direction. Truly deserving of it's reputation as horror classic.

Summary Review:
What might have been
Between Just Jaeckin's Emmanuelle packing Champs Elyse'es theaters to the rafters and the dirty
movie deluge that was just around the corner, Continental carnal cinema got a taste of what might have been had the budding genre been allowed to progress logically without stringent government interference ruining its potential. French fornication
filmmakers believed that their explicit sexual content would eventually be assimilated by mainstream entertainment. Alas, this was not to be, the country's draconian X Law - slapping humongous taxes on all aspects of adult film production and
distribution - to blame only in part for this evolution or rather lack thereof.
The sole directorial effort of Jean-Claude Laureux, erstwhile cherished collaborator of the late great Louis Malle, remains an ambitious
attempt to blend traditional cinema with the plentiful pulchritude and still simulated yet surprisingly graphic sexual activity allowed by recently relaxed censorship laws. By way of knee jerk reaction, the movie was briefly banned altogether by the
commission for film classification until progressive Cultural Secretary of State Michel Guy overrode their decision, liberating the title for release with an 18 certificate.
This mild-mannered social satire of the
country's privileged upper middle classes, themselves close to extinction post May 1968, plays out like a mixture of neutered Claude Chabrol and French boulevard theater.

Summary Notes
It's the early twentieth century Sweden. Adolescent siblings Alexander and Fanny Ekdahl lead a relatively joyous and exuberant life with their well-off extended paternal family, led by the family matriarch, their grandmother, Helena Ekdahl. The openness of the family culture is exemplified by Helena's now deceased husband ending up becoming best friends with one of her lovers, a Jewish puppet maker named Isak Jacobi, and their Uncle Gustav Adolf's open liaison with one of the family maids, Maj, who everyone in the family adores, even Gustav Adolf's wife, Alma. Between the siblings, Alexander in particular has inherited the family's love of storytelling, his parents and his grandmother who are actors and who manage their own theater. Things change for Alexander and Fanny when their father, Oscar, dies shortly after Christmas 1907. Although she truly does believe she loves him, the children's mother, Emilie, decides to marry Bishop Edvard Vergérus, who she first met as the officiate at ...

For the 60th anniversary DVD, one scene on the Pastoral
sequence was digitally altered to remove a black centaurette. In the scene, Bacchus is being lead to his throne, while the black centaurette rolls out a red carpet. The change now makes the carpet appear to be rolling by itself.

- 1976 Australia comedy by Richard Franklin (as Richard Bruce).
Fantasm is a 1976 Australia comedy by Richard Franklin (as Richard Bruce). Starring John Holmes, Uschi Digard and Candy Samples.
Banned by the BBFC for 1977 cinema release but passed X the next year after
very heavy cuts. Still heavily cut by the BBFC for 2010 DVD. Uncut in the US.
Summary Notes
Professor Jurgen Notafreud explores the 10 most common female sexual fantasies.
Thanks
to Gary:
The film is softcore bit you can glimpse John Holmes's erection very briefly in an underwater sex scene (which was mostly cut by the OFLC on original release) but it really is blink and miss it. There is also
brief penis kissing in the pool scene. Does that count as fellatio?
Reviews
This is an erotic film, quite advanced for its time. A must see for those
wishing to see softcore stars Rene Bond, Uschi Digart in the nude with their hairy bushes.
All the outrageous nudity is innocently explained away in scientific jargon by a Professor to get under the oppressive
censorship of those times.
Cuts were required to remove potentially harmful material in two scenes. In the first case, cuts were made to remove an eroticised scene of sexual violence in which the victim responds positively to the assault.
In the second, cuts were made to remove dialogue likely to encourage an interest in sexually abusive activity, in this case incest.

70's sleaze-orama
An intern and a professional writer at a newspaper agency read over 10 different erotic letters detailing the erotic escapes of various women for their sexual advice column.
If you like films from the 70's,
you'll probably like this film...It has it all, attractive women, nudity and sex (Some of which I am more than sure, isn't simulated)...Just watch the scene in the pool.
The story is rather weak, if you can even locate it [There
isn't one - both films are a series of sketches with linking material!] and the acting is god awful...But if your in the mood for a slice of 70's sleazeorama...It doesn't get much better than this.

Australia
Thanks to Gary: A Lost Hardcore Version
According to David Stratton's The
Last New Wave (on 70s Aussie cinema), Fantasm Comes Again was one of the most heavily cut films of its time, so it's ironic that it's suffered far less BBFC cuts than its predecessor.
As for Fantasm Comes Again ,
the makers did spend a day shooting hardcore material so that a stronger version could be made available.
That footage is now lost and has never appeared in any version of the film that anyone knows about. (Info from Antony
Ginnane's commentary on the Australian DVD.)

The BBFC explained their rating: Extended Detail
Fast & Furious is the fourth in the series of action/ car chase films. This time the lead character and his federal agent adversary team up to avenge
the death of a friend by drug traffickers. The film was passed '12A' for strong action violence.
The film contains several scenes of tonally and visually strong action violence, notably the throttling and then dangling of a man by his ankle from
a window (from which he is dropped), the heavy slamming of a man's head against a marble wall, clear sight of a gunshot impact to shoulder and the deliberate ramming of a villain with a car so that he is crushed between two cars. Although injury detail
is rather restrained, tonally the violence appears callous though it is contained within the 12A guidelines which allow for the fact that 'violence must not dwell on detail. There should be no emphasis on injuries or blood.' These tonal qualities and the
degree of process to the violence place the scenes within the '12A' category.
The film contains one clear use of 'fuck' and other moderate language (e.g. bitch, pussy and muffled uses of strong language). The uses were in line with BBFC's '12A'
Guidelines which state 'the use of strong language (eg 'fuck') must be infrequent.'
The film also contains several intense car chase sequences involving dangerous stunts (e.g. jumping from one moving vehicle to another, street racing through
public roads where other traffic and people are present), plus some moderate sexualised posing by scantily-clad female extras and three women kissing passionately for a man's pleasure as he films them.
A scene involving brief sight of a cockfight
filmed outside the UK was considered not to contravene the Cinematograph Film (Animals) Act 1939, given that it did not involve the cruel infliction of pain or terror, or cruel goading to fury.
Aside from a few short plot lengthenings, about one dozen typical MPAA-cuts, mostly just frames, were reintegrated in the Theatrical Version. Some depictions of bullet and stab wounds were equipped with CGI blood textures, but mostly
their quality isn't that good and it doesn't fit to the rest of the action sequences, which are quite bloodless. All in all, the Extended Cut is a nice bonus to Fast Five but the minor changes can barely be seen during the action sequences due to the
fast cutting.

During post-production, director Amy Heckerling was forced to reframe the shot of Robert Romanus removing his underwear during the poolhouse scene approximately 58 minutes into the film to remove his nudity in order to
avoid an X-rating. The Criterion release has restored her preferred framing for the first time.
The MPAA originally slapped the film with an "X" rating, stating that the male frontal nudity had to be cut from the boathouse sex scene. This cut, along with a few other trims to that scene, was made and the MPAA gave the film an
"R" rating which was distributed worldwide.
