From IMDB. The video release has additional footage not shown in the theatrical release:
In the opening scene you now see more of the alien. In the theatrical release we see it fight off one of the cavemen, killing it, and the other caveman gets up to see it lying on the ground draining out the black blood (or what fans know as black
oil). In the video release, we see it run off after it kills one of the cavemen, and when the other caveman gets up, he tracks it down and then kills it using the broken end of his torch.
In the scene with Mulder talking to the Well Manicured
Man in the car, he reveals to Mulder that Samantha, Mulder's sister, was abducted by aliens at the request of her father, William Mulder, so she could be part of the colonization project, thus ensuring her survival in the colonization of Earth by the
visitors. Also revealed is that when plans went awry, Mulder was intended, by his father, to seek the truth and reveal what had been done.
There is also an added scene in the video release with Mulder running down the street after the hospital
scene.

Summary Notes
Scully and Mulder investigate
the death of a newborn child found in a shallow grave on the outskirts of a small town. Mulder loves the locale and thinks it's small-town America at its best. It even has a sheriff by the name of Andy Taylor. Sheriff Taylor is highly reluctant to
investigate the family nearest where the baby was found however. He tells the agents that the three brothers who live there are all simple, the product of generations of inbreeding in the Peacock family. When the Sheriff is killed, all evidence points to
the Peacocks and the FBI agents are shocked at what they find in the house.

Thanks to David, November 2017: Episode 2 mutated
I have revisited the first 9 series of X-Files. They were shown in widescreen recently on on Netflix, but Netflix showed the audio censored network version of the
highly controversial episode from Season 4 called Home. This features inbred mutant like creatures burying an infant (a product of incest) at the start of the episode.
The baby's cries and distress as it is buried alive are
clearly missing, thus conveying that it is being buried dead instead of alive. The original cries of distress had stirred American TV censors into muting the audio for official releases.
Also any buyer of the re-mastered Blu-ray
set should be warned that the first disks issues showed some mastering errors in Season 8, described as 'crushing of dark colours'.
Thanks to Nigel who notes
that the uncut version is widely available on DVD and Blu-ray as an extra:
All DVD and Blu-ray releases are uncut and offer the choice of the broadcast version or the original version. I have The X Files complete Blu-ray
boxset and it was one of the main bonuses that I had wanted Fox to port over from the DVD's. In the end they ported everything over which was good although the downside was no new HD bonus features.
The default setting is the
broadcast version but the alternative audio is available on all disc releases as a bonus feature.

Producer Simon Kinberg has spoken of plans for an Extended Cut. He said that the version will have 10 minutes of additional footage featuring Rogue. Kinberg called it the Rogue Cut , and said:
It's a big chunk, a

Xtro is a 1982 UK alien film by Harry Bromley Davenport. With Philip Sayer, Bernice Stegers and Danny Brainin.
No censors cuts but exists in two versions, The theatrical version with a
happy end, the video version with a downbeat end. The film was seized by police during the video nasties moral panic but no action was taken against the film.
Summary Review: Much to enjoy
If you can overlook its obviously low budget and tolerate the BBC Radiophonic Workshop-like synthesizer on the soundtrack, there's much to enjoy in XTRO. It's a simple tale of a family man returning to Earth after three
years in the company of aliens whose customs and ways of life he hasn't completely surrendered.
Fans of the gross and outrageous will enjoy the sight of a fully-grown man being literally reborn and the several
messy killings that further spice up this warped and somewhat disturbing British shocker. Although clearly inspired by Ridley Scott's Alien, XTRO actually bears more than a passing resemblance to Norman J.Warren's notorious Inseminoid, except things are
much nastier here.
UK: Presumably the Downbeat Ending Version was released uncut on pre-cert video for:
UK Spectrum VHS
The pre-cert Spectrum video release was caught up in the video nasties scare as it was seized in Manchester, Birmingham & Newcastle. The BBFC pointed out that they had passed it uncut and the seized
tapes were returned without getting listed on the official list
xXx is a 2002 USA action adventure by Rob Cohen. Starring Vin Diesel, Asia Argento and Marton Csokas.
Cut for a PG-13 rating in the US and further cut by the BBFC for a 12

2017 Blu-ray features the cut US theatrical version, but now at least without the BBFC cut.

The BBFC commented:
During post-production, the distributor sought and was given advice on how to secure a 12A classification. Following this advice, a sequence early in the film in which a man is stabbed from behind
was changed prior to submission to remove detail of the knife emerging from his stomach. The submitted work was passed 12A without cuts.
